This allows a litigator to receive the deposition in a readable format in real-time. The court reporter utilizes software that converts the stenographic record into a legible form instantly. The receiving computer has pre-installed software to receive the text. Typical real time reporting is 95% or more clean of mistakes and steno. The end user has an instant rough ASCII at the end of the deposition.
This enables users to access the deposition at multiple remote locations on a global basis. Interfacing with an Internet portal, the reporter connects at the ground-level site and others are given secure access via log-on to portal. This format also allows recipient the ability to print deposition on demand as well as Save As and other functions.
The above-mentioned e-transcript allows our agency to create Encrypted depositions that can be sent both by e-mail or put onto a diskette. A pre-arranged password must be created for this feature to work.
